to find out about upcoming events. Once subscribed, you're

Bay
Area Orienteering Club (BAOC)
Want to improve your navigation... this is the club to join.
They hold regular orienteering events in the Bay Area and
beyond.
California Adventure Racing Association (CARA)
Great information on everything adventure racing in California.
Lots of free
clinics, forums, training sessions, etc.
Checkpoint
Zero
Before getting to the first checkpoint in a event, you start
at zero... get it? CP Zero.Anyway, this is a great AR portal-type
site. Yak is always "in the know", read his blog.
Racing With Giants
New to AR? Want to get into AR? Want to learn from a motivated bunch of athletes that made the transition from triathlons and other sports. This group lives and trains in the Bay Area and is an incredible resource.
SleepMonsters
When you haven't slept for days and are still racing... you
get the "sleep monsters". This is another AR portal-type
site. Larger focus on international races.
Southern
CA AR Buddies (SCARABS)
Similar to BAARBD, this group has over 2,800 members and
also offers a news server (like BAAR).
