Volunteers help make the NORCAL AR Series possible! In fact, we couldn't host the series without you. If you're interested in volunteering, just Contact Us
with your information and a member of our team will get right back to you.

Event Day Registration (2)

On the morning of the event, a few volunteers are needed to assist our team in processing registrants. Jobs include obtaining signed waivers, number/participant bag assignment, distribute shirts, and general administrative instruction to athletes. Volunteers should be able to handle questions simultaneously and multi-task effectively. Event Day Registration volunteers can be seated for the majority of their shifts.

Time Commitment: Varies by event (you may transfer to other volunteer positions at this point if desired).

Transition Area Gear Check / Drop (4)

On the morning of the event, prior to the start, and during the event itself, we need to staff locations that may require gear to be dropped/watched. Duties include telling athletes where to place their gear, enforcing event rules (particularly the "no trash left behind" rule), and maintaining an accurate log of team drop off / pick up. This duty may be combined with checking athletes in/out of the TA during the event.

Time Commitment: Varies by event.

CP Captain (TBD)

During the event, teams travel to checkpoints (CPs) - some are staffed
and some are unmanned. For the staffed CPs, the duty includes checking
teams in/out of this location. Some CPs may be in remote ares and
require you to hike/bike in to the location. Please let us know of
your skills and/or any limitations so we can match you with the right
CP Captain opportunity.

Time Commitment: Varies by event.

Course Sweeper (2-4)

As the event progresses, we like to keep an eye out for newer/slower
teams. We typically provide Course Sweepers to do a range of activites
that may include CP retrieval, observation/support of slower teams,
and monitoring the course for any personal items or debris that may
have been inadvertently dropped by athletes. This position requires that
you have navigational proficiency, are in very good physical condition
and able to perform the duties outlined.

Time Commitment: Varies by event (period will not be
continuous, there will be specific/brief assignements throughout the
course).

Emergency Medical Technician or Nurse (1-2)

The role of the EMT is to provide medical assistance for any medical
issues that arise. You will move from Transition Area (TA) to TA in
order to be readily available to athletes. There may be instances where
you will need to respond (on the course) in emergency situations.
99.9% of the time -- nothing happens. But you are the safety net. You
need to bring your basic EMT med kit with supplies.

Time Commitment: Varies by event..
